"All Aboard AMTRAK" -- The Amtrak Alexandria Station is a 5-minute walk from the Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town hotel (located behind the Amtrak station). Group rates are available. Flying: Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the nearest airport to the Alexandria. DCA is located 4 miles away from the hotel. There is also a 10-minute ride on the WMATA Metro (via Blue/Yellow Line) that has a stop across the street from the reunion hotel. Other area Washington DC area airports are Dulles International (IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International (BWI).
Driving: Alexandria is accessible via I-95 and I-495 corridors. The Embassy Suites Alexandria Old Town Hotel is conveniently located minutes away from two I-495 interchanges. Driving provides easy access to region's popular sites and attractions in Maryland, including MGM Casino, Tangier Outlets, and National Harbor.

While you are enjoying your stay in Alexandria, there are multiple local travel alternatives, including two popular transit options available to get you to and from area attractions. Check out the options below.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrorail is the most convenient option to travel to regional attractions. The King Street/Old Town Metro (Blue/Yellow Line) stop is located directly across the street from the Embassy Suites Hotel. The King Street Trolley is a free, convenient and fun way to discover Old Town Alexandria. There is a trolley stop located outside of the Embassy Suites Hotel entrance, on Diagonal Road. For more information, click on the button below.
Also there is a water taxi service that travels along the Potomac River that connects to the Wharf, Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, and National Harbor.
